Heena, Temporary tattoo, My Diary

Here is my diary from yesterday. It was a festival in India called “Teej.” My friend came over to my house. She wanted to get a henna design from the market. It’s said to bring good luck to a partner. It’s a festival for married women, and I also tried my luck with a henna temporary tattoo.

I love to see tattoos on other, this time I tried a temporary tattoo. I am trying this after long, long time.

The story behind applying Heena on or before this day is that it is said, “If your heena tattoo turns dark red, it means your husband will love you so much.” Look below to see how my henna turned out; does that mean my husband won’t love me a lot. Is it?

I don’t really like sitting on a small chair in front of the tattoo artist to get a design done on my hands. So I made a paste of henna with water and applied it to my left hand. I didn’t make a complicated design. People create beautiful peacocks on their hands, and some get their husband’s name written on theirs.

See how my tattoo looked.

I love this simple design. The aroma of wet henna was turning strong, so I decided to apply it on the back of my hands too. Here,

I dried it for half an hour, then washed my hands in the kitchen sink with water.

It turned out to be orange in color. The market Henna cones give a dark red color on hands after washing, but this henna powder mixed with water gives an orange color.

Here it is after washing hands,

The back side after washing is bit light, it is here,

I love the orange color of Henna leaves on my hand. The market is full of Heena cones that turn dark red once they dry on the skin.

My friend and I went to the market to help her find a handcrafted Henna work with a delicate design. To give you an idea of what a Heena design looks like, take a look below. AI drew an excellent Heena design in Pink color.

Here is how beautiful work is done on hands in this festival of married women. This shows pink color, however the color of Heena is orange to dark red, some women heena tatoo turns to even dark brown.

In the end, I say, my henna tattoo always turns orange. According to women’s conversations, does this mean I am loved enough?

I love tattoos…

I love this smell of Heena as well,

That is all for today.

Stay well,

Warm regards,
