The Story Of A River

The story of a river

The story of a river

I am a river

flowing to meet my ocean

With the winds I flow

With the turns I turn

I want to carry the pebbles,

I want to carry the stones that come on my way,

I want to take with me the roses and the petals of flowers on the way,

I want to take the leaves that fall in me

and the beauty that holds.

I want to carry the love, care, affection and devotion of people who come and pray in me,

As I move towards my goal of meeting my ocean.

Yes this journey is  very long,

yes this journey is not easy

but I get a touch of my ocean with each rain drop that falls from the sky onto me

for the clouds come form the ocean

I want to carry the sorrow and leave it on the my banks I want to flow to unknown places to meet the unknown people,

I want to save  animals in forests ,

I am the house to fishes, ducks and crocodiles,

For I am a river, flowing to meet the sea,

Yes when angry I flood and destroy,

 When happy I cultivate crops,

I am mother,

I am a daughter,

I am a creator,

I am a destroyer,

I am a river flowing to meet the sea,

Yes this journey is  very long,

yes this journey is not easy

but I get a touch of my ocean with each rain drop that falls from the sky onto me

for the clouds come form the ocean

With the winds I flow

With the turns I turn….

I am a river

flowing to meet my ocean
