Why do we need taxes when robots, once bought with taxpayers’ money, who eats sunlight and works day and night? Why taxes then!
We pay taxes to fund public services and development. The key areas where taxes are used: (i) Public services that can’t be priced per use, such as police, health, disaster management, and more; (ii) long-term development plans such as building bridges, roads…and (iii) Redistribution and stability: this includes subsidies, pensions, food security…
When robots and AI clear thick snow from the roads, what will we pay taxes for? When robots build roads, what do we pay heavy taxes for? When robots can manage public services and help in landslides, what do we pay taxes for?
Yes, it would take time for all this to become a reality. But we are heading there, to a tax-free world if governments allow it.
Indeed, people can start companies that get taken over by government automation projects; this is needed now!
So, the future is tax-free!

Are you with me in this?
Indeed, the governments in parts of the world would pay people money to live, as in developed nations, people get free unemployment benefits; these benefits are not available in developing nations.
We are nowhere near robotic automation in public service as of now. However, we are heading towards it.
Imagine during the pandemic, when there were restrictions, what if we had intelligent systems? Systems to guide us as we have now!
Yes, these AI systems do wrong things sometimes, but they are just getting started! Like a young boy/girl, they make mistakes within limits. Let them learn.
Regarding jobs, I will talk about it in another article!
Stay tuned.
