It’s an age-old thing- Immigration!
Why was immigration allowed on the first go?
Was it because of a declining population?
I don’t have children, but I grew up listening to the following slogan here in India — “We two our two.” Have you heard of it? Here this slogan was advertised on tv, newspapers and radio to maintain population.
Or was it a shortage of skilled professionals?
Or was it a need for the labour force?
Or was it just friendship?
Well, if some or all of the above are allowed.
How do we end immigration now?
So, if we stop immigration? Would we need to increase birth rates? Or do we need to increase skill sets?
Respect those who have immigrated, as they were called to do so with respect.
Have we reached enough population that can be looked after in each country?
Or
Skills are now easily accessible, thanks to the widespread availability of online courses at affordable prices.
Are countries like Switzerland still encouraging people to settle there? Is that immigration, too? If so, how many families can come in? Would it be called immigration or welcome settlement?
What do countries look for in immigration now?
Skills?
Expertise?
Money?
Yes, billionaires are welcome to settle in many countries.
There are countries with huge populations, which also attract immigrants today, often from poorer countries. What would we call this?
Does immigration affect the culture and traditions of a country? No, it fills the place with new traditions, new celebrations, and new festivals. Understand others’ traditions and festivals.
So, is the world in a stable state now?
Does immigration end forever?
Are we all in the right places now?
Can we all find work in the place we belong to now?
Do we say stop the Western dream now?
How to maintain our traditions around the globe?
Can we say “No more dream of the Statue of Liberty”?
Would all countries of the world maintain their population within the right limits now, so that there is a right balance in life on Earth?
However, some people are always in demand as the best talent in the world.
Would it be called brain drain?
So, do we all aim for the same dream? The success of Earth! Not just the success of a region. No more East versus West?. Learn to live in your areas and cherish life? Or dream, still ?
