Netflix-Warner Bros. deal- Good and Bad!

Well, they are businesses in the same field!

Why do we want just one name in the field of movie-making or streaming?

Just like in tech, all money and all businesses are controlled by seven people! Come on, let different people shine on the stage! Since it’s a theatre, different perspectives should be welcomed! Especially with the challenges of competition! Unless, of course, the boat is sinking!

Why can’t flowers of all sizes bloom in the garden of life?

Why do we want to keep the same name moving forward?

Why can’t Netflix, Paramount, and Warner Bros exist on their own?

Have they lost determination? No, right!

Have they lost inspiration? No, right!

Well, there are two things- good things and bad things.

Would we like to go to a market and see everything under one brand name? What would we buy then? Would it be boring, no? What to buy then?

Going to a mall, and the same brands? What to window shop then?

Going for street food, and the same vendor? What to eat then?

Why not thrive in our own individuality?

Why not let the user decide what to choose from?

Yes, there are a lot of memberships, and even I am tired of tracking which movie is on which streaming app. So is this the solution? Or is this the only solution?

What would Warner Bro do with so much money? Why not fill zest in life and boom, embrace reality and challenge the soul? Well then, AI is coming, and everyone thinks AI will take over the movie business?

Bad thing

— Membership prize can rise

— Loss of options

— Monotonous decisions can hamper the vividity

— Lack of competition can make things monotonous.

— What will happen to movie theaters? Will the series be cast in theaters on schedule? Good thing?

— Would they buy cinema halls too? No, so streaming in cinema halls, buy tickets, and watch there? No one can beat what the cinema shows! So, Netflix in the cinemas and matches in cafes/pubs! Be on time, or you’ll miss out on a series episode!

— 5D and 6D movies are not series compatible with LCD, you need theaters for that!

— 5D fun in a movie hall?

Good thing

— It can lead to people going to cafes to watch their favorite series at a specific time, eat there, and drink coffee! Pubs and cafes can prosper in this way!

— It can make movies accessible on one platform; earlier, we bought so many memberships. Now, just a few would be needed.

— Where is Prime here?

— Pubs/cafes can stream it.

— A new culture.

— They can rent out the old movies to Netflix and others.

— It can be good, as old movies would be accessible with a deal.

Why this deal? And why now? Is it the fear of AI-based movie-making then know the following:

AI-based movies would compete with human actor-based films. Note, AI is here to complement change, not replace it. There will be a mix of movies with AI and real actors. We will always need actors, and AI will enhance what is impossible for humans in the theatre. Some tasks are better suited for AI, and we need to adapt to that. No one would want to see their favorite actors replaced by non-existent AI unless AI reveals who was actually behind the mask. Sometimes we would need a mask in AI-based movie making. Documentaries would need real faces. A lotof movies still to be made. We would still love to cheer on the real actors on the red carpet!
