Sharia Law, Preserving Historic Culture and World (diversity, traditions, and ethinic viewpoints)

While scrolling the internet, I saw protests in Sweden that happened last year. People still keep posting about them even now. Maybe out of fear. (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rGUJFXO6qzE). People said they want Sharia Law imposed in Sweden. While they seem to be agitated in response, but it was huge.

Why I am discussing this today, as some people fear Sharia law would come to their western countries. Let’s discuss why it should not happen!

Some people get scared when they hear Sharia Law in London or in their neighboring country. In recent years, there have been many comments that London would have Sharia Law. That rolls out on the internet and has spread fears several times in past.

Why the “Fear” Exists Despite Reality? Let’s clarify what Sharia Law is and why one religion can’t replace existing laws of a historic country. Sharia law is religious law that guides how Muslims live. Not everyone needs Sharia law.

One has come to a foreign country and has been chosen to be part of their nation. And now you are one of them, indistinguishable. But one must understand that a nation has a history, whether it’s Sweden, Germany, the Balkans, or the UK. These nations have rich historical cultures. UK is the nation that brought modern-day developments to the world.

Why not live peacefully with their culture and one’s private lives?

Why not accept their personalities as they are! No one forces you to follow personal rules. So why change them then?

Or is it just fear that Sharia law would be imposed? If not, why don’t you clarify that you respect others identities and want to live in peace with everyone.

Let the world respect you, and you respect the world!

Yes, Western culture differs a lot from immigrant culture.

But that was the deal!

Let’s live peacefully and know that we should not end a culture as old as history, even when the population is mildly in decline!

Every nation has the right to protect its historic culture, diversity, inherited traditions, and ethinic viewpoints.

Let’s respect it.

The most widely reported demonstration by Muslim Interaktiv took place in April 2024 in Hamburg, Germany. In October 2024, another rally affiliated with the group took place in Hamburg, reinstating the prior movement. Often referred to in Germany as Friedensrichter, these are patriarchs, or imams who mediate disputes privately in mosques, community centers, or homes. However, the law does not recognize them. This is not Sharia law to all!

In the UK, Sharia councils (including in London) are entirely private, voluntary bodies. Formal bodies called “Sharia councils” or bodies operating under the Arbitration Act exist. Islamic Sharia Council exists in UK.

Sharia law is basically for personal law. Still, if you want to get divorced or marry, you need to be legally registered. Even if both spouses voluntarily sign an agreement mediated by a Sharia council, that agreement isn’t legally enforceable until a court reviews it and issues formal consent. But some people think a paper divorce or marriage is not enough. Here come religious laws.

So, why do you want Sharia law for everyone then? When you already have religious freedom in society! When world is secular? Let’s consider other ethinic rights too. Your religious considerations are taken care of; let others follow their religious sentiments then? Why impose Sharia Law on others when they don’t have the same religious beliefs? Let others follow their religious beliefs.

We are a world of ethinic diversity. Everyone follows one’s religion all over the world, whether an immigrant or from an ethinic community. But why do you want Sharia law above all? Let all of the people in all parts of the world follow and respect each other’s religions!

Let’s respect the diversity! Understand that not everyone needs Sharia Law! Let everyone preserve their religious identity.

Let us live with peace.

Let’s preserve a place’s cultural integrity.

Your ethnicity is unique to you, but let’s also respect and preserve a nation’s heritage, including its culture and a balance of ethinic rights.
